Job-shadow a spanyolországi Martos-ban

Az Erasmus+ akkreditációnknak köszönhetően lehetőségem nyílt február 17. és 19. között a spanyolországi Martos-ban található IES San Felipe Neri középiskolába ellátogatni. Az útnak több célja is volt: egyrészt a tanulók mentális egészségével és jóllétével kapcsolatban tapasztalatot cserélni, a vezetői tudásmegosztás, valamint hosszútávú partnerséget kiépíteni.

Az első nap megismerkedtem az iskolával, a fő kapcsolattartóval, María Ortegával, a vezetőséggel és az iskolában tanító kollégákkal. Hospitáltam egy angol órát, szakmai beszélgetésen vettem részt az igazgatóhelyettesekkel, valamint Eloy Cubillóval beszélgettem, aki a kortárs mentorprogram létrehozója és vezetője. Megismerkedtem a spanyol inkluzív szemlélettel. Mindeközben az autentikus spanyol (második) reggelit is megkóstolhattam a kollégák társaságában (paradicsomos és olívás pirított bagett jamónnal, az ibériai sonkával). Délután Silvia López és Gloria Ibañez körbevezettek Martos városán hihetetlen vendégszeretet tanúsítva. Feljuthattam például egy olyan toronyba is, ami egyébként zárva volt. Exkluzív városnézésben volt részem.

A második nap épp nyílt napot tartottak az iskolában, így megismerkedhettem az iskola felépítésével és kínálatával. Spanyol ebédet is elfogyaszthattam néhány spanyol kolléga társaságában egy autentikus étteremben (spanyol omlett és
croquetas némi desszerttel megspékelve). Délután Rosa Viera és férje, Gabriel Jaén városán kalauzoltak végig.

A harmadik napon Juan Ruiz igazgató úrral folytattam szakmai beszélgetést, majd két angol órába is becsatlakozhattam Tete és Javier jóvoltából. A gyerekek érdeklődtek Magyarország iránt, nagy odafigyeléssel hallgatták meg rövid előadásomat a Zrínyiről és Magyarországról, majd kérdésekkel bombáztak. Előadást tartottam a spanyol kollégáknak a ZigZugról (ami lenyűgözte őket), majd néhány magyar édességgel kínáltam őket, miközben közösen reggeliztünk. Igazgató úr átadta a részvételről szóló oklevelet. Nap végén Maríával egyeztettünk és megállapodtunk abban, hogy jövőre diákmobilitásokat szervezünk, amit el is kezdtünk megtervezni. Délután két világörökségi helyszínre (Úbeda és Baeza) látogattam el.

Bár a job-shadow programja hivatalosan már véget ért, Angel és Tete nem engedtek el anélkül, hogy ne vittek volna el churrosozni. Így pénteken olajszagúan és churrostól jóllakottan indultam Granada és Málaga irányába. A hétvégén tehát sok-sok élménnyel, új barátokkal és partneriskolával gazdagodva tértem haza. Alig várom a folytatást, a zrínyis diákokkal való spanyolországi utat, a spanyolországi diákok fogadását, és bízom benne, hogy a Martos-ban kapott vendégszeretetet hamarosan visszaadhatom a spanyol kollégáknak és tanulóknak egyaránt.

Job Shadowing in Martos, Spain

Thanks to our Erasmus+ accreditation, I had the opportunity to visit the IES San Felipe Neri secondary school in Martos, Spain, between February 17 and 19. The trip had several objectives: exchanging experiences related to students’ mental health and wellbeing, sharing leadership knowledge, and establishing a long-term partnership.

On the first day, I got to know the school, the main contact person María Ortega, the leadership team, and the teachers working at the school. I observed an English lesson, took part in a professional discussion with the deputy principals, and talked with Eloy Cubillo, who is the founder and leader of the peer mentoring program. I also learned about the Spanish approach to inclusion. Meanwhile, I had the chance to taste an authentic Spanish (second) breakfast with colleagues (toasted baguette with tomato and olive oil, topped with jamón, Iberian ham). In the afternoon, Silvia López and Gloria Ibañez showed me around the city of Martos, demonstrating incredible hospitality. For example, I was able to go up into a tower that is normally closed to visitors. I received an exclusive city tour.

On the second day, the school was holding an open day, so I could get familiar with the structure of the school and its educational offer. I also had a Spanish lunch with some Spanish colleagues in an authentic restaurant (Spanish omelette and croquetas with some dessert). In the afternoon, Rosa Viera and her husband guided me around the city of Jaén.

On the third day, I continued a professional discussion with Principal Juan Ruiz, then I joined two English classes thanks to Tete and Javier. The students were interested in Hungary and listened carefully to my short presentation about Zrínyi and Hungary, after which they asked many questions. I gave a presentation to the Spanish colleagues about ZigZug (which impressed them), and then offered them some Hungarian sweets while we had breakfast together. The principal presented me with a certificate of participation. At the end of the day, María and I had a meeting and agreed that we will organize student mobility programs next year, which we have already started planning. In the afternoon, I visited two UNESCO World Heritage sites (Úbeda and Baeza).

Although the job shadowing program had officially ended, Angel and Tete did not let me leave without taking me out for churros. So, on Friday, smelling of oil and full of churros, I set off towards Granada and Málaga. Over the weekend, I returned home enriched with many experiences, new friends, and a partner school. I am really looking forward to continuing the cooperation, travelling to Spain with students of Zrínyi, hosting Spanish students, and hopefully returning the hospitality I received in Martos to Spanish colleagues and students alike soon.
